The clearest related action is that, at the October 12, 2021 meeting, the Nowthen City Council adopted Ordinance 2021-05 amending City Code Section 9-1-1 to incorporate the State Plumbing Code and allow plan review, inspections, testing, and permits by appropriately licensed individuals, “which may include the city’s contracted building official.” A public notice for that ordinance appears in the April 14, 2026 meeting packet. The search results do not show the vote count for that 2021 action. The records provided do not include the earlier township-era decision to eliminate or not refill an in-house Building Official position, nor do they document the specific move to shared Building Officials with the City of St. Francis or contracting with The Planning Company for code enforcement and zoning.
